BACKGROUND.Altagrazia is similar to many other bright young girls her age in the Netherlands. She was raised by an Italian mother who sealed the fear of God into her underdeveloped frontal lobe since she started to crawl, but who also raised her to be a family woman and a pillar in her society. . Not born an aristocrat, though, she ever only knows how to respectfully avoid insulting them, and fails to understand the fragile nuances of high society women.her serious, well-mannered and slightly detached exterior, though, Altagrazia is constantly debating with herself about complex spiritual topics, and seeks spiritual validation, signals, or any other excuse to feed into her delusion that she has been hand-picked by God himself for something, anything. She constantly feels like she's being called, experiences spiritual ecstasy and convinces herself that God is acting through her and her family. She is permanently dissociated, always staring too long, investigating too deep, trying to convey the true meanings of the most mundane events so she can feel connected to God and to her so-called mission.

❝ MUSE TRIVIA. At the start of her character arc, Altagrazia is rather serious and cold. She is always slightly dissociated, and more than an introvert, she simply doesn't enjoy much interacting with others. She is new to London, so she goes out to walk around the city a lot. She sleep-walks sometimes during her night ecstasy attacks. Sometimes she leaves her house, and has to find her way back on her own.❝ NIGHT ECSTASY. Sometimes at night she still has intense nightmares/spiritual ecstasy in her dreams, she can sleepwalk and even talk in her sleep. The nature of her spiritual ecstasy is her own religious delusion, but the events themselves are incredibly erotic.❝ FIGHTING SKILLS. Her uncle teaches her how to shoot and kill ghouls and other undead monsters in case there's ever a need. She knows where the special holy bullets he designed are, and carries some with her most times. She's however, way too weak to shoot a gun of the right caliber.

At 22, she believes she should have long been married, and destiny's constant meddling between her and her prospects has convinced her that she must heed the call of God and remain His bride.Her father, a devoted catholic, abandoned her and her mother upon arriving to London, rejecting their newfound protestant faith. But Altagrazia has been reading Luther and other wise men since she was a girl. This change, for her, is but another push from God towards Him.❝ Heiress...Left by her father in the care of her Uncle, Altagrazia and her mother take on the responsibility of building the Hellsing household a name as Abraham Van Helsing obsesses over the weapon he's building.The Queen favours them and grants them a handsome allowance, as well as access to several thousands of forbidden books about the occult and demonic.

Without any other youngs or males in her family, Altagrazia becomes the official Heiress of this newly born organization. Worried about the possibility of a stranger coming into the Family and altering the delicate balance Abraham has achieved, the Queen decides Altagrazia will marry her uncle, so that the precious Helsing blood is not watered down too soon. A special dispensation is issued for this, as the marriage between a Niece and Uncle is not legal.She is horrified, but will carry on her duty if this is what it takes. If this is what God has decided, then surely there is a reason.❝ Phantomhive...Another breed of watchdog. They are another trusted family at the Queen's service, but the ability of the young lord of the household to conquer battles far too difficult for his age makes one wonder if, perhaps, there's something unholy and unclean looming from the shadows of the house of Phantomhive. And if there is something unclean, ungodly and demonic hidden there, is the mission of Helsing to clean it. They do need a test subject to make sure the weapon Uncle Abraham is building works.

Once the concept of what the Hellsing Organization would become falls into her plate, she is thrilled with the mission her family has been assigned. She's not delusional enough to believe she will clean the world of evil herself, as her dissertations imply there must be evil for God to show goodness, but the prospect of becoming the wielder of God's sword, to act in pro of the Anglican Church, is a dream come true. She must, however, overcome her own struggles and spiritual chains to continue with the mission entrusted to her family.▍ ❝   VERSE TWO.
Altagrazia is blonde. She has icy blue eyes, and a slim, pretty weak body. She fell as a child, and bent her ankle in such way it hurts to walk too fast ever since, so she moves rather slowly. She wears her hair up, with a fringe falling on her forehead and two locks carefully curled to frame her face. Her taste in clothing is modest, bordering in the old-fashioned and gloomy. She prefers to wear black, brown, gray, and in some events navy blue.

Her uncle teaches her how to shoot and kill ghouls and other undead monsters in case there's ever a need. She knows where the special holy bullets he designed are, and carries some with her most times. She's however, way too weak to shoot a gun of the right caliber.
